About me

I’m Ellen Kocher, an Economist turned Master Certified Coach (ICF MCC) with over 25 years of experience as a coach, mentor, and consultant. Originally from the United States, I’ve lived in Switzerland for nearly 40 years, embracing a multicultural life and thriving in international environments. Fluent in English and French, with conversational German and Italian, I bring a unique perspective to my work, blending American energy with Swiss precision.

My journey began in finance, where I spent a decade as an executive navigating the pressures of a demanding career. In 2003, I transformed my own lifestyle, dedicating the past 20 years to workplace well-being, resilience, and holistic health. This transformation fuels my passion for helping others elevate their coaching practice and create meaningful, lasting impact.

I’ve had the privilege of mentoring coaches globally, guiding them to refine their craft, deepen their presence, and achieve their ICF credentials, including MCC-level mastery. In addition to mentoring, I support coaches in defining their niche, branding their business, and amplifying their influence in the coaching world.

My leadership roles include serving as:

This program is designed for credentialed coaches (minimum PCC) who are preparing to apply for or renew their ICF MCC credential. It’s also ideal for experienced coaches seeking to deepen their mastery and presence.

2. Does this program fulfill ICF mentor coaching requirements?

Yes. The program meets the ICF requirement of 10 hours of mentor coaching, including 7 hours in group and 3 hours one-on-one, aligned with MCC-level criteria.

3. How are the 1:1 sessions scheduled?

The 3 hours of individual mentor coaching are scheduled privately with Ellen at mutually convenient times. A booking link will be provided after registration.

4. What happens in the group sessions?

Each 1h45 group session includes:

  • A live coaching demonstration by a participant

  • In-depth feedback using MCC performance criteria

  • Interactive exploration of MCC behaviors, mindset, and distinctions
    Group size is limited to 10 participants to ensure deep engagement and personalized feedback.

5. Do I need a recorded coaching session to join?

No. You’re welcome to join whether or not you have recordings. The program helps you prepare or refine recordings for MCC application, if needed.

6. Are sessions recorded?

Yes. All group sessions are recorded and shared with participants for review and reflection.

7. Can this program be used for MCC renewal?

Absolutely. This program is suitable for both initial MCC application and renewal, with a focus on continuous growth and qualitative refinement.
